The UTAH-400 Digital Routing Switcher family includes High Definition and Standard Definition digital video switchers and AES/EBU Digital Audio switchers in all matrix sizes. The UTAH-400 is specifically designed to address the growing requirement for large switching systems with its ability to expand seamlessly from 8x8 to 1152x1152 and beyond. The UTAH-400 is based on a revolutionary new matrix architecture that greatly reduces the complexity of large systems, resulting in considerable improvements in rack space and power requirements as well as yielding significant cost reductions.

UTAH-400/DATA RS-422 Data Router
The UTAH-400/DATA router is a 64-port RS-422 router that switches machine control data in conjunction with the audio/video signal routing of a UTAH-400 digital routing switcher system. A high-speed data bus arrangement connects up to four frames to form larger routers with up to 256 ports.

UTAH-400 - Fiber Optic Input/Output Option
The UTAH-400 fiber optics input/output option connects fiber optic video signal formats to the routing switcher frame. It consists of I/O boards that carry eight signals each, internal connector boards that hold the electrical/optical and optical/electrical converter blocks, and rear-panel assemblies that provide access to the converter blocks for the external fibers.
